Lack of activities in parks

A while back  I was visiting Manhattan's Union Square Park , I talked to a youth there who told me, “there's benches for the seniors  and a playground for the little kids but nothing for us.”

 

This observation has been made by many observers

corporations like Amazon and Netflix spend billions of dollars creating  on demand programming to keep you watching television indoors.  

 

competing for your leisure time are underfunded Parks departments that offer outdoor spaces with minimal activities  that cannot compete . so the average American spends  x hours a day watching tv and over 90% of their time indoors

So how do you compete  for people's Leisure Time? One way is to add on demand programming for parks. 

 

this website offers a bunch of ideas on how to add on-demand programming to parks and I hope it becomes a jumping off point for Parks departments to create their own on demand programming component for their local parks

 

will offering on demand programming get a lot more people to use our parks  I don't know  ,, but i strongly suspect it'll get some people to spend more time in our parks
